The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan (Arabic:المملكة الأردنية الهاشمية), is an Arab country in the Middle East. The country is bordered by Syria to the north, Iraq to the north-east, Saudi Arabia to the east and south, and Israel and the Palestinian Territories to the west.

Jordan has a country incredibly rich history that spans thousands of years, and has been ruled by the Hashemites since its independence from the United Kingdom in 1946. Jordan is currently being ruled by His Majesty King Abdullah II, who has reigned since the death of his father.
